New movie "Trainer Joe" filmed at Will County Boxing Gym produced by Dreams on Screen Productions

Trainer Joe Joliet, IL, (August 17, 2010). Dreams on Screen Productions and the Will County Boxing Gym is developing a documentary film called "Trainer Joe". The film is a story about former prized professional fighter and current owner/trainer of Will County Boxing Gym Joseph Awinongya and his talented fighters. Most recently Dreams on Screen Productions brought to the silverscreen the film "Blessed and Cursed", featuring actress Drew Sidora of "White Chicks" , "Step up the Movie" and "Wild Hogs".

The following professional fighters will make appearances in the film: Daniel Sackey, George Ashie, Joshua Okine, Osuman Adama, and Mike Mollo.

Daniel Sackey

Daniel Sackey aka "Sacky Daniels" is a Professional Cruiserweight boxer.  He is originally  
from Ghana and now resides in Doraville, Georgia. Daniel has a record of 13 Wins (6 KO) 1  Loss (1 KO) and 1 Draw.  His rating in his class is 89th worldwide and 1st in Ghana.

George Ashie George Ashie aka "Red Tiger" is the UBC Super Featherweight Champion. He is originally from Ghana and has a 16 Wins (9 KO) 3 Losses (0 KO) and 1 Draw record. His rating in his class is 135th worldwide and 2nd in his native Ghana.

Joshua Okine

Joshua Okine aka "Bukom Tsatsu" recently became the WPBF Welterweight Champion. He won a twelve round unanimous decision over former 2000 Olympic Gold Medalist and world title challenger Muhammad Abdullayev of Uzbekistan.  He is a native of Ghana and currently makes his residence in Baltimore, Maryland. Joshua has a 21 Wins (13 KO) 4 Losses (2 KO) and 1 Draw record. His rating in his class is 102nd worldwide and 2nd in Ghana.    

Osumanu Adama

Osumanu Adama aka "Ozzie Adams" is a Professional Middleweight boxer.  He is originally from Ghana, but now resides in North Miami, Florida.  Osumanu has a record of 17 Wins (KO 13) 2 Losses (KO 0) and 0 Draws. His rating in his class is 78th worldwide and 1st in Ghana.

Mike Mollo Mike Mollo aka "Merciless" is a Professional Heavyweight Boxer. He was born in Oak Lawn, IL and is wildly popular with Chicago fight fans. Mike was signed to a promotional agreement in April, 2006. He will be fighting March 26 at the UIC Pavilion with 8 Count Promotions. Mike has a 20 Wins (KO 12) 3 Losses (KO 1) and 1 Draw record. His rating in his class is 104th worldwide and 40th in the United States.


Filming of "Trainer Joe" will begin on Wednesday, August 18th and will take place throughout the month of August. Joseph Awinongya- former prized professional fighter, named the "Ringmaster" by Chicago Sun-Times, is the owner/trainer of Will County Boxing Gym. He is helping many learn the art of boxing and is thankful to his former promoter Don King for giving him an opportunity to find his strengths. Now, he is giving that chance to many others. Joseph has trained and helped several professional African fighters get to the next level. Will County Boxing Gym has over 400 members and offers boxing classes for every skill level. It is open to professional fighters, amateur boxers and boxing beginners. Joseph Awinongya, a Ghana native, currently resides in Will County – Joliet, IL.
