Objectives

Get to know each other; celebrate diversity

Group Size

Materials

A bulletin board or other way to display all photos.

Set Up

Ask everyone to bring in one photo of themselves as a baby, unlabeled. Display all of the photos.

Directions

Each person guesses the identity of each baby. This can be at a single gathering or ongoing in casual interactions.

Debrief

Have each person tell something about their background. Discuss how the diversity may influence the team's interactive or work styles.

Alternatives

The photos can be of team members at different ages, e.g., as teenagers, or "10 years ago." People can write their guesses about the identities on paper provided by each photo. Photos can be shared physically or on a shared electronic space. See also the Teampedia activity Photos of Family, Friends, Pets.
