Our marquis event, the Treasure Hunt Adventure is a map-based puzzle that the entire group must solve. It mimics a successful workplace dynamic where smaller teams must first accomplish their tasks before the entire company can realize its goal. Rather than use a lecture or classroom setting to teach these concepts, we get your group out and moving to infuse the experience with action and fun.

The TREASURE HUNT ADVENTURE
Derived from the Scandinavian activity of Orienteering, the adventure uses a custom-made map of your conference center, hotel, park or any outdoor setting. The map leads teams to trivia questions (about your company), riddles and group challenges which ultimately guides them to solving the puzzle. The metaphor of the entire group morphing from competition to cooperation is utilized in the debrief as our facilitator helps connect the dots back to the workplace. We can do these anywhere, from a meeting room in a conference center to a local park. We've even done this event on a beach on Hainan Island, China for Chevron's China Energy.

Outcomes include merging silos, developing and executing plans of action, assigning roles and responsibilities and valuing of differences - all while getting everyone energized, their blood pumping and lungs full of fresh air. The surprise climax ending is not to be missed.

We need tables for teams, whether in the ballroom or in the picnic grove. Generally we need a full day of prep the day before to design the map and to customize the event for your needs. Let us know some details and we'll get you a quote within 24 hours.

The DAVINCI ADVENTURE
What started as a rain alternative soon became our hottest item. When MSNBC's event in Central Park was going to be washed out by thunderstorms in 2006, "The DaVinci Code" was the rage in all the theaters. So I obtained a "cryptex" (just like the movie) and brought our adventure inside the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Teams still get maps with arrows but now they must navigate to the correct work of art. Part orienteering, part team builder and part art appreciation, your group must interact with the artwork to collect their answers, including painting, sculpture, modern art and even multi-media. Since 2006 I have led over 5,000 folks in over 25 of the country's top museums. While we suggest larger art museums, the DaVinci Adventure also works in natural history, science and specialty museums as well as botanical gardens and zoos.

PLUG "N" PLAY TABLETOP TEAM BUILDERS
Only have a limited budget and limited time in the meeting? These 20 min. to 45 min. "tabletop team builders" will instantly energize your meeting. We can run them concurrently for a half-day of 4-5 activities (start in the morning, after lunch, or just before dinner.) Less set-up time brings these within most budgets and we can zero in on your needs. Communication needed? Try the "Blindfolded Puzzle". Groups need to strategize more? Straw Structure is the answer (also called "The Egg Drop"). Listening is an issue? Then "Radioactive Waste" is perfect. Groups need to mesh and work more efficiently? "Pipeline" always scores high. Tell us your needs and we'll suggest a 2-3 hour program. These also work well when they are interspersed throughout the day, especially at those "lagging" moments of mid-morning or mid afternoon when the Powerpoint is about to put the whole room asleep. We also run some of the best icebreakers around.

TABLETOP FASTCAR
A grand, full-staged event, especially for large groups, FASTCAR is based on the Cub Scout activity of Pinewood Derby where kids carved race cars out of a block of wood. With time and issue, we build our cars out of a bag of LEGOs and race them down the same gravity track as the Scouts. Perfect for that highly competitive group because the computerized start and finish leave no doubt who has the FAST CAR. To keep all at the table involved, we have half the team design a banner with their car number and company logo. Two hours flies by and the fun is non-stop. FASTCAR fosters listening, cooperation, flexibility and role assignment. Change is a big factor and the teams that adapt best always score the highest.
We suggest groups of 50 or more. FASTCAR is best presented on a stage or risers and it is best to have video coverage for all to see.
